CONCEALERS
Facial concealers are cosmetic products used to hide skin imperfections. They are often used in make-up to give the complexion an even colour, conceal blemishes, redness, scars, and other minor or major imperfections. Concealers come in a variety of forms and formulas to suit the different needs and preferences of make-up users.
Concealers and their key features
Concealers are available in a variety of formulas with properties unique to them. We can choose from liquid, cream and stick concealers, as well as different colour versions. Each formula has its own unique properties and can be applied slightly differently.Concealers differ in their degree of coverage, i.e. their ability to cover imperfections. There are products with light, medium and full coverage, making it possible to choose one according to the visibility of skin problems.
Under-eye concealers
In addition to concealers for the face, there are also concealers for the under-eye. They are specifically designed to conceal specific imperfections in the eye area. Under-eye concealers are designed to brighten the area, cover up dark circles, reduce the appearance of puffiness as well as hide fine lines and wrinkles around the eyes. Some under-eye concealers contain moisturising ingredients, such as hyaluronic acid or vitamin E, to provide extra care and hydration to this delicate skin.
How to apply concealers?
If you are just starting out with these cosmetics, choose concealers in the shade closest to your skin colour. This will help conceal imperfections such as spots and discolouration. Apply concealer after foundation. Apply it in small amounts and pat it in until the concealer blends in with your foundation. Set it all with a transparent powder.
Apply under-eye concealers to well-moisturised skin and after applying foundation. Blend in with your fingertips or a sponge. Be careful though, if you apply too much concealer, it will go into the crevices of your skin and accentuate wrinkles.
