FOOT CARE
Feet carry us throughout life, so we should give them special attention every day. Proper foot care cannot be limited to daily washing. The skin on your feet needs care and a fair amount of attention. If neglected, it can make our lives very difficult.
Why do we need special foot care?
Unfortunately, it is not enough to simply apply any random body lotion to the skin of the feet. The skin there is extremely poor in sebaceous glands and therefore dries out quickly. Socks and shoes cause friction, which exacerbates the dryness and can also promote keratosis of the epidermis. Choosing them correctly is the first step to healthy skin on your feet. Foot care provides the skin with moisturising and nourishing ingredients and protects it from the growth of harmful microorganisms, such as fungi.
Foot care – moisturising, exfoliating, regenerating
Daily foot care should consist of proper hygiene and the provision of moisturising ingredients. This is sufficient if the skin is not prone to keratosis. However, it is often necessary to incorporate products with a stronger effect. For the elimination of calloused areas, it is worth using scrubs and emollient creams with a high urea content. Their regular use helps to reduce the problem and prevent its recurrence. In addition, our exfoliating products additionally ensure proper moisturisation, so that the skin of your feet is comprehensively cared for.
Foot care for very dry skin and cracked heels, on the other hand, should consist of strongly regenerating creams and masks, e.g. with natural oils or vitamin A. They also contain plant extracts that soften the skin, reduce the depth of cracks, accelerate healing, improve elasticity and overall comfort.
Foot care at home
Although it is advisable to consult a podiatrist with more difficult cases, the most important thing is proper foot care at home. Washing them with mild soaps and warm water, drying thoroughly, moisturising, as well as wearing airy socks and well-fitting footwear is an absolute must. Regardless of your skin type, it's a good idea to exfoliate once a week and apply a regenerating mask. Regular exercise and massages will also be good for your foot health and condition.
