BODY LOTIONS AND MILKS
Body lotions and milks are the basic cosmetics, alongside shower gels, we reach for in our daily skin care. Regular care of body skin is essential to keep it young and beautiful. Body lotions and milks help to keep the skin smooth, supple and radiant.
Body lotions and milks – what are the differences?
The main difference between body lotions and body milks is their consistency. Milks are extremely light products that absorb into the skin very quickly. This means that they can be applied even several times a day. As a result, we like to use them in summer, when our skin needs regular moisturising, and also after sunbathing. Lotions are slightly heavier and leave a light film on the skin. They contain more lubricating ingredients, but still absorb well. They are liked by people with drier skin prone to flaking. Body lotions and milks are designed to moisturise and nourish the skin, and the choice of product depends mainly on our preferences.
Body butters
In addition to the classic lotions and milks, we also have body butters. These are heavier, provide more nutrients, and leave a protective layer on the surface of the skin. Body butters are great for skin with loss of firmness and cellulite.
What are the ingredients of do body lotions and milks?
Body lotions and milks are primarily based on natural oils. Coconut oil, argan oil, avocado oil, shea butter or cocoa butter work well in body care. They make the skin nourished and more supple, while the oils also prevent excessive loss of water from the epidermis. Lotions and milks for very dry skin contain urea and ceramides, among other ingredients. In cosmetics for mature skin, with loss of firmness, it is worth looking for retinol, collagen or peptides improving firmness. For very dry skin, prone to irritation or allergies, probiotics and soothing panthenol are recommended.
