BODY CREAMS
The skin on the body needs intensive moisturising. Body creams are cosmetics that protect the skin from drying out, regenerate it and restore its proper condition.
Body creams or lotions?
Body creams and lotions are both designed to take care of the skin, but there are some subtle differences between the two, mainly related to texture, composition and the way they act on the skin. Body creams tend to have a lighter texture, are gentler and absorb better compared to lotions. They are richer in hygroscopic ingredients, making it easier for them to capture moisture from the environment. While body creams are perfect for daily care of any skin, lotions work better where stronger regeneration is needed.
Why use body creams?
When used regularly, body creams can bring a number of benefits to our skin and visibly improve its condition. They:
- Quickly and deeply moisturise the skin.
- Counteract flakiness.
- Improve skin elasticity.
- Firm the skin.
- Restore a feeling of comfort.
- Have fragrances with a relaxing effect.
- Improve the overall appearance of the skin.
What are the ingredients of body creams?
Cosmetics such as body creams can contain various ingredients that improve the skin's condition. One of the most moisturising ingredients is aloe vera, which further soothes and accelerates skin regeneration. Other often used ingredients are soothing panthenol, vitamin E or algae extract. Body creams may also contain natural plant oils and butters, such as mango butter or Shea butter. Those that contain fruit extracts provide the skin with vitamins and envelop it in an extremely pleasant fragrance.
