FOUNDATIONS
Foundations are cosmetics that most of us can't imagine leaving the house without. They help to give the skin an even tone and a flawless look. Today's foundations also contain skincare ingredients that moisturise the skin or protect it against external factors. Whether you're looking for a lightweight foundation for everyday use or a full-coverage product for special occasions, you will find products tailored to your needs in our shop.
What are face foundations?
Face foundations are cosmetics with different formulas that aim to even out the skin tone and hide imperfections, while smoothing the skin and giving it a radiant appearance. They are available in various forms – liquid, cream, stick or compact. Foundations are the basis of any make-up. They form the perfect backdrop for other cosmetics such as bronzer, blush or eyeshadow.
Foundations and their types
Foundations can have different formulas and different effects. They include liquid foundations, which are extremely light, easy to spread and ideal for daytime use. They range from light to full coverage. Cream foundations give more coverage and are great for concealing larger imperfections. Compact foundations, in the form of a powder or cream compact, provide a matte finish. In terms of their effect, we can distinguish moisturising, brightening, mattifying and antibacterial foundations.
How to choose a foundation?
When choosing a foundation, you need to consider your skin type, tone and the effect you want to achieve. For dry skin, choose foundations with a moisturising effect. For oily and blemish-prone skin, mattifying and antibacterial foundations will be good. For tired skin and distorted skin tone, illuminating foundations will be best. Foundations also come in cool and warm shades, just like our skin. Before you choose a foundation, check the shade of your skin and opt for a cosmetic in that tone.
How to apply foundation?
Apply foundation to clean and moisturised skin. You can do this with a brush, make-up sponge or your fingers. Start from the centre of your face and gently work the product outwards. Avoid applying the product too thickly on the jawline and hairline.
